کتاب “دقت اول: بازگشت به میراث کارلوس کاستاندا” اولین تألیف انگلیسی سیدمهدی نعمتی در حوزه “معرفت ناوالیسم” و به سبک فیکشن بوده که به تشریح تجربه های عرفانی شخصی وی می پردازد. این اثر به اختصار داستان زندگی ریاضیدانی است که در جریان حیات خود، به نقص منطق تونال پی برده و از جامعه علمی کناره گیری کرده و سالک مبارز می شود، و برای آزادی خودش تحت انضباط مسیر مبارز تلاش می کند تا در آتش درون بسوزد. در این خلال، وی هنر رویابینی مدرن را می آموزد و یکی از موکل های دون خوان ماتوس را در دقت دوم ملاقات می کند (کتاب دوم) و عاقبت، با تکامل کالبد انرژی خویش به وسیله مرور دوباره تاریخچه شخصی اش همزمان با تمرین حرکات جادویی، به سیّالیتی می رسد که از طریق همان محیط های رویا تحت حمایت “روح” و راهنمایی یک ساحر طلایه دار به ورای قلمرو موجودات غیر ارگانیک رفته و از آنجا اقدام به سفر نهایی سوی آزادی دقت سوم می کند و به کرانه فعال بیکرانگی پرش می نماید (کتاب سوم).
آغاز داستان این گونه است که چهار دانشمند، شامل یک ریاضیدان، یک فیزیکدان، یک اقتصاددان، و یک زیست شناس، جلساتی محرمانه را در حالات ابرآگاهی بر پا می کنند و در باب یک سری مباحث فلسفی و مرموز کیهان شناختی، از دنیای علمی و مادی گرفته تا روحی و معرفتی به مباحثه و حتی جدال استدلالی می پردازند. برخی با هم مخالفند و برخی دو به دو موافق!

This book concisely presents the story of four scientists who had encountered each other in the world of Cannabis for the first time! Eventually, one of them, i.e. the author, will leave his ordinary life and become a sorcerer. His main purpose of life is to achieve “total freedom”.

Roughly speaking, the current modern novel is something between fiction and non-fiction, closely related to the works of the well-known author of Nagualism, i.e. Carlos Castaneda, such as “The Art of Dreaming”, “The Fire From Within”, and so forth. The typical trend of the book concerns some specialized discussions on different topics from everyday issues to scientific and philosophical problems of the universe, held among four scientists including a mathematician (the author), a physicist, an economist and a biologist, within a series of private sessions. Having applied the power of Cannabis, Mushroom and Datura, each of the aforementioned scientists enters a cosmological argument from his own peculiar approach. Consequently, attractive and exciting adventures happen in this direction from both theoretical and practical point of view. Eventually, the mathematician of the story decides to abdicate the scientific world and turn to mysticism and spiritualism. Having ignored the social systems as a modern sorcerer, he proceeds with the path of the “warrior” seeking for freedom of individual awareness as long as, in the dreamworld, he encounters a shaman Indian called “Don Juan Matus” who was indeed Carlos Castaneda’s nagual in the first attention, and questions him about the secrets of the unknown of the universe in order to arrange his own final journey to the active side of infinity.
